Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season Two
Season
Two: THE Angelus season. We start slow. Buffy and Angel making
out at the cemetery between dusting vamp N° 1 and vamp N° 2. We
have a lot of bonding here. And Spike and Dru hit the scene to,
to get Dru's sire's blood, because she's weak. Angel is captured
(and once more shirtless), tortured (yess please, the holy water
makes such nice colors...) and rescued by Buffy. Cute.
Eps 1-11: 1.When she was bad 2. Some Assembly Required 3. School Hard 4. Inca Mummy Girl 5. Reptile Boy 6. Halloween 7. Lie to Me 8. The Dark Age 9. What's my Line I 10. What's my Line II 11. Ted
Now we come to the real deal: Buffy and Angel hit the sheets and
the rest is TV history. Giving him a moment of perfect happiness
(19th century talk for orgasm) he loses his soul, turns to wear a
lot of leather and silk and plans to end the world. That's how we
came to love Angelus! Don't you remember how he left her in his
apartment, turning his back, closing the door, saying "I'll
call you" *shudder*. Angelus just has the strongest scenes
and the best dialogues! If you're a true fan, you have to have
season two! You won't regret it *ever* in your whole unlife.
Eps 12-22: 12. Bad Eggs 13. Surprise 14. Innocence 15. Phases 16. Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered 17. Passion 18. Killed By Death 19. I only have Eyes for You 20. Go Fish 21. Becoming I 22. Becoming II
Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season Three
In
season three we get all the heartbreaking: Buffy has run off to
LA, comes back to Sunnydale, has to sort out her issues, date a
bit and then knock out a total wild (and nearly naked *waaah*)
Angel. Then the fun begins. We see an alternate Sunnydale where
VampWillow plays with her (again shirtless!!) puppy. We have a
snowy Californian christmas, where Angel's losing it ad nearly
bites Buffy. And we have the wonderful "Lover's Walk"
where we learn that love isn't brains;-)
Eps 1-11: 1. Anne 2. Dead Man's Party 3. Faith, Hope, and Trick 4. Beauty and the Beasts 5. Homecoming 6. Band Candy 7. Revelations 8. Lovers Walk 9. The Wish 10. Amends 11. Gingerbread
The second part of the season three box
set features a special guest appearance of Angelus himself. The
Scourge of Europe fakes a short return to Sunnydale.
Unfortunately Angel is just pretending. Fortunately he's
pretending really good! Or can you tell the difference?
Eps 12-22: 1. Helpless 2. The Zeppo 3. Bad Girls 4. Consequences 5. Doppelgangland 6. Enemies 7. Earshot 8. Choices 9. The Prom 10. Graduation Day, Part 1 11. Graduation Day, Part 2
Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season Four
Do
you want to know what's going on in Sunnydale while Angel is
struggling with demons and Cordelia's lack of filing abilities in
LA? Then this one should be your choice! And even here, Angel has
a little appearance in "Pangs" - with comical effect as
I think. High School is over and Buffy, Willow and Oz enter
College life. Of course also on Campus evil forces appear -and
not only in vampire shape! The eps that make the Box Set worth
buying: The Harsh Light of Day (great Spikyness), Wild at Heart
(I didn't know I liked W/O so much), Pangs (of course!),
Something Blue (B/S shippers must love it, funny till you fall
off your couch) and Hush (wow, that was spooky; the scariest
Buffy ep ever). You see that's quite a lot!
Eps 1-11: "The Freshman", "Living Conditions", "The Harsh Light of Day", "Fear, Itself", "Beer Bad", "Wild at Heart", "The Initiative", "Pangs", "Something Blue", "Hush" and "Doomed"
And the second part of the season four box set features some
fabolous Riley ass kicking. Done by none other than an pissed of
Angel (in pretty much soulless mode). To see that, you gladly
bear watching one episode of Buffy and Riley shagging themselves
to death (Angelus says *ewww*) in "Where the wild things
are". Also, Faith appears and we have the wonderful dream
episode "Restless". One of my favourites!
Eps 12-22: 'A New Man', 'The I in Team', 'Goodbye Iowa', 'This Year's Girl', 'Who Are You', 'Superstar', 'Where the Wild Things Are', 'New Moon Rising', 'The Yoko Factor', 'Primeval', 'Restless'
Angel Season One
A must have. Life's not worth living if
you don't have your favourite show on tape. And if you're here
and stayed with me and Angelus until Chapter 12 I take it that
"Angel" is your favourite show! It can't get any better
than this. No commercial breaks, excellent quality and you can
watch it over and over and over again. Don't worry, Angel will
still look totally *yummie*. See Angel making LA his new home,
teaming up with half demon Doyle (we all miss you dearly!) and
Queen Cordelia to save the lost souls of this big town.
Eps 1-11: 'City Of...' 'Lonely Heart' 'In the Dark' 'I Fall to Pieces' 'Room with a View' 'Sense & Sensitivity' 'The Bachelor Party' 'I Will Remember You' 'Hero' 'Parting Gift' 'Somnambulist'.
The second
part of season finds a voice for the show. Where the first
episodes where pixelwork, now we develop something like a
consistent storyline. And we get another glimpse of Angelus in
"Eternity". So we learn that also drugging a souled
vamp can trigger the happiness clause - at least temporary. And
where is the difference if you're dead afterwards anyway?
Eps 12-22: 'Expecting' 'She' 'I've Got You Under My Skin' 'The Prodigal' 'The Ring' 'Eternity' 'Five by Five' 'Sanctuary' 'War Zone' 'Blind Date' 'To Shansu in L.A.'
Angel Season Two
Season two
mirrors the Buffy season two. We get Angelus. Well, nearly. But
having Angel dark is the best we can get without him actually
losing his soul (I guess then the show would be over). The
reappearance of Darla, endangers the balance between Angel,
Cordy, Wesley and Gunn. Angel is more and more drawn into himself
and finally fires them all. We get a lot of flashbacks
("Darla"!) and even an episode where Angel doesn't
speak a word (apart from voice overs).
Eps 1-11: 'Judgement', 'Are You Now or Have You Ever Been', 'First Impressions', 'Untouched', 'Dear Boy', 'Guise Will Be Guise', 'Darla', 'Shroud of Rahmon', 'The Trial', 'Reunion', 'Redefinition'.
The second part of the
season shows the way back to the A-Team. Angel has to come to
terms with his dark site (meaning: he sleeps with Darla).
"Epiphany" surely is one of the highlights of this box
set. But the Pylea trilogy is another highlights. It's not
everyday that you see Angel in the sun *drool*.
Eps: 'Blood Money', 'Happy Anniversary', 'The Thin Dead Line', 'Reprise', 'Epiphany', 'Disharmony', 'Dead End', 'Belonging', 'Over the Rainbow', 'Through the Looking Glass', and 'There's No Place Like Plrtz Glrb'
